Participation in an online group is very similar to attending a one-to-one telehealth session. The main difference is that you will be able to see, hear and interact with other people who are participating at the same time and are working on similar goals to you. Your group facilitator will send you the weblink to participate in the group, any passwords you need for attending, and the time (in local Australian Central Standard Time) that the group commences and finishes.
Our Mind & Body Online Group is a fun skill building and relaxing program run by an Occupational Therapist for children aged 8–11 and 12-16 years. The program, designed to work on the development of motor skills as well as focusing on sustaining a healthy mindset through learning and experiencing a variety of relaxation techniques, opened up opportunities for people that would not have been able to participate in our groups previously.
The program will include the following:
• Yoga poses;
• Deep breathing techniques;
• Guided meditation; and
• Progressive muscle relaxation.
This program will run for one week, from Monday 6 July to Friday 10 July 2020, for a 45 minute session each afternoon (time is to be confirmed upon enrolment).
Next Step is a program that works with school leavers and young adults to achieve their pre-employment goals. Next Step is now being delivered online, making the program accessible across Australia. Our team is committed to supporting participants to develop their social, communication skills and pre-employment skills and giving them the opportunity to put them into practice.

This program seeks to increase the social development and community participation of young people living with autism, aged between 10 and 21 years, who also have an interest in Information Technology skills. Benefits to participants not only include the development of friendships, but also support the further development of conversation, cooperation and teamwork skills while engaging in technology-based activities. Term two’s program will focus on using video games to help participants to better understand how to convey their emotions and build social connections.
Adult Social is a program for adults (over the age of 18 years) focusing on social and communication skills, friendships, and other life skills.
